Jem Southam research  Born in Bristol in the 1950s. He is renowned for his coloured landscapes Beginning the 1970s and still photographing today. H photographs one area over many months and years one of his famous series is The Painters Pools where he photographed an artist's work station as nature began to grow around it. He does a lot of work around in the south west of England. he uses a large format camera to produce 8x10inch (20.5x25.5cm) prints I think the digital images I have produced link well to his style of photography as he uses dense woods and plants similar to what I have done to my own work which i have taken around Toys Hill and Sheffield Park. The image above was taken in the autumn time you can tell that from the colours of the leaves on the trees. He uses a tripod to get the best results possible as you can get more detail. Health and Safety In The Dark Room Make sure that the ventilator is on when working in the darkroom as the fumes from the chemicals are dangerous   Make sure you use gloves if you have any allergies  do not come into physical contact with the chemicals in the tray  Do not use a phone while in the darkroom  Do not mix the tweezers  Always tidy up the props you used in the darkroom Always segregate the chemicals don't mix them  Keep the work area clean to prevent tripping over chemical bottles
